# OUT & ABOUT in Australia # ... where snakes, spiders, koalas & kangaroos live.

Australia is a big country!!  Europe fits inside Australia.  Mainland America fits inside Australia.  It's BIG!!  It's VAST!!

Australia is Australia because of the well known typical icons such as koalas, kangaroos and surfing Santas  :))

But there is another side of Australia which is rarely seen or spoken about by tourists.  A side of Australia that is filled with rich colours,  history and hardships.
In the towns that dot the countryside of Australia, the towns that are populated with the local people that provide service with a smile,  that provide fresh produce and even supply the good ol' amber liquid ( beer ) are where we can find these rich colours and broken times of past.  Quite typically these places are driven past,  flown by in a plane or just not even noticed.  If you can get to Australia in the near future or if you live there now,  please take some time to visit the locals  :))

Welcome to my Australia
Western Victoria.  Drive around here at most times of the year and you are bound to come across a big group of kangaroos like this.

CRIKEY!!  An ol' dunny!!  A dunny is Aussie lingo for the throne, or in more common English ... the toilet!!  Check out below!!  :))  Wouldn't want to sit on that for too long ... the Red Back spiders might getchya!!

Must have been used on a rainy day when it wasn't possible to get exercise from feeding the sheep  :)

These trucks from not so long ago, but they ain't goin' nowhere.

Sun rise in the country side brings shadows of the day while turning everything around into yellows and golds.
