The topic is Shibuya. The location is Shibuya ... all day!! It's COOL JAPAN!!
Shibuya is certainly a place that has it all. Locals shop here, out of townee's are eager to flock here, foreigners gather to take pictures here, the fashionistas flaunt here, the trendies, the young and the old ... to be in Shibuya!!
Shibuya as I discovered today while on a location shoot to film a new COOL JAPAN show is full of more than I was even aware of!! While filming we visited a very cool coffee shop, the shop's name is LION, that only plays classical music. The shop was established in 1926, it's situated up the hill from the 109 ladies department store and is totally the opposite of what you think you would find in that area. Two doors down from this LION is an over 18's ... well ... there's a s%x shop!!
Locations around Shibuya included the Love Hotels area which is also host all the Live House ( a live house is where a lot of singers come to show their talent ) ... my mate Jey-J performs there too ... you can check out Jey-J at http://ameblo.jp/jey-j/
And also a big surprise was discovering some ladies walking around in Kimono!! What the #$%^ ... in Shibuya??!! Turns out they teach traditional Japanese dancing and the ladies that run the studio have been there for 50 years, teaching in Shibuya!!
Anne was lucky to be invited to learn a short dance, and later she performed with some of the students in the class :)
The studio shoot will be on the 18th of February so expect the show to aired around the middle of March :) Watch COOL JAPAN and enjoy!! :)
