# OUT & ABOUT in Japan # ... Jyukai ( suicide ) Forest Part 2

                            WARNING <      > WARNING

Part 2 of our trip to the Mt. Fuji forest called Jyukai has two videos that are or could be quite disturbing. The first clip has verbal dialogue that could be disturbing, the second has visual footage that is disturbing!! That is why a warning has been given ... you have been warned!!

Before you watch these videos I suggest you take a look at the PART 1 Story of Jyukai Forest just so you can get an idea of what the journey to the forest is about. It can be found on the home page of this blog in the Top 10 of what is looked at most. Actually I recommend it!!

If you have been brave enough to watch the video above then here is a quick outline of what to expect in the next clip.

As you are aware by now we found a body while camping in the forest known as Jyukai, the suicide forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. The forest is world famous for suicides and is known as a very scary and spirit infested area of land here in Japan. My friends and I have been living in Japan for quite a few years and we wanted to discover the hype that surrounds this mystical place.

     We had 3 objectives.

To find and follow the ''tape'' or markers that is left by people entering the forest so as not to get lost in the event that if they decide not to commit suicide they can find their way out of the forest. Secondly, we wanted to discover whether there were as many ghosts and spirits as many Japanese people say there are and thirdly we wondered if we would stumble upon a body.

Within a short distance of entering the forest we had already found the tape and markers.
Within the hour after setting up our camp spot we had discovered a body!!

The following video documents, up close, the details and decomposition of the body we found. Using the rice ball, or Onigiri, as it is called in Japan, that was bought at a convenience store, we worked out using the used by date that was found in the belongings near the body how the long he had been lying in the ditch.

 It was just 2 weeks.

The police and forensics took the body away the next morning!!
