NEED A BIKE? LOOK NO FURTHER THAN .....

The only place I go!

Ladies and Gentlemen,  dudes and dudesses,  fans of bikes all around the world,  the time has arrived for me to introduce a top bike shop that I exclusively do all my shopping from ( no fruit and veg though ) ....  OUTDOOR SPACE in Shinjuku  :))

I'll let you in on who's who in the shop.  We'll start with Yuichi,  he's the manager.  When Yuichi is at Fujimi Panorama there's only one way his bike goes and that's straight down the hill at full speed .... jumps,  roots,  ruts and drop offs are made too easy by Yuichi!  :)    Next is the best wheel builder in Tokyo,  a man that has too many Yeti bikes  :))  ( give me one please ),  can build a bike with his eyes closed,  let me introduce to you Fresh!!   Actually that's his nick name,  I don't know his real name  :)

And,  that's it!!  Only these 2 guys work there,  live there and eat all their breakfasts,  lunches and dinners in the shop,  the only time they can do something recreational is when the shop is closed on wednesdays.  Yuichi and Fresh are extremely friendly,  kind and don't mind how many questions you have about bikes.  When Fresh built my Yeti,  Yuichi was very entertaining and even did some break dancing by spinning on his head in the middle of the shop just to past the time  :))

These guys are GREAT!!  If you need a bike please visit the OUTDOOR SPACE shop in Shinjuku,  if you have any questions about bikes please ask Yuichi or Fresh at OUTDOOR SPACE in Shinjuku .... go on don't be shy!!  :))

DRINK YOUR DOG?

Everyone knows that when doing some kind of physical exertion we sweat.  Some people sweat a lot,  I guess it's how much effort one puts in. At high school I remember licking my sweat just to find out the taste   :))

Sports drinks galore fill the shelves of supermarkets and convenient stores and are very popular.  But now we are lucky ( or unlucky ) depending how much one loves their dog,  to be able to drink our dogs sweat!!  Yes,  it's been bottled for the likes of those people out their that want to go that little bit further to enhance our bodies potential and to have an ever lasting bond with their dog!!

                                            WooF   WooF       :))

Mt. FUJI --- THE LONG WAY ROUND, THEN BACK AGAIN

Hey fellas, who wants to climb that massive hill called Mt. Fuji?

The list is building and there are about 6 of us that want the challenge!!

A couple of days before the big climb the list has narrowed down to 4.  We have Carlos, he's the dude from Mexico also known as "THU DAWG",  and then we have Jey-J.,  this funky man's from Hawaii and always ready to groove it baby,  there's also a pommy geeza,  this chap is from England with the beard ..... "stop playing games",  ( on the train we were trying to pull the beard off because we thought it was a fake one ... but it's not!! )   Last but not least, a guy that's always in for a buzz, a laugh or just a good bevvy session, Craig, a wild and out there type of fella who doesn't give a rat's arse what goes down!!  :))

Now that the introductions are finished I'll get on with the story.

" STREET BEER "

This is what happens on a Friday night in central Tokyo.  After work, we, the lads get together for a few bevvies  :))   It's summer, and we just weren't getting entertainment value from going into bars that are stuffy, smelly and generally noisy.  We have a new drinking bar called Street Beer  :)   This involves just hanging around  ( not loitering as some of you may think we are doing ),  in a street drinking merrily as the summer night moves through.  All kinds of sights can be seen.  Tokyo fashion, cars and of course saying "Hi" to the passers by gives that extra scent to the night's entertainment  :))  Reccommendations are:  stand fairly close to a Conbini so that it's easy to get beer when nearly empty and stand in a relatively busy section of town so that the highlights of the night are easily seen and heard.   So next time you are bored in a bar, get out there on a street corner and just bev on ... try " Street Beer " !!    :)    Cheers  :))

#RECIPE# for an Incredibly Tasty Bolognaise Sauce

G'day dudes & dudesses  :)   Here is a simple dish for you to try.  If I can do it then anyone can.  In fact this is an original that I created myself so don't be afraid to try it.  It's simple, as fresh as the dawn sun in December ( Japan's December that is ) and it tantalises the taste buds.

What you need:        2 Cans of Tomatoes  ( chopped or whole, doesn't matter )
Minced Beef  ( for yourself or who ever you are cookinng for )
1 whole garlic  ( 2 if you really love the stuff )
                                Olive Oil
                                 1 Bay Leaf
Basil or Oregano ( or both if you want to get the flavour going )
Salt & Pepper ( cracked whole peppers hold more flavour )

I SAY .... GET OUT OF HERE .... SKIDDADLE .... SHOO .... BE GONE WITH YOU : ))

Well what kind of comment can one put to a picture like this!?  The great thing about this is it's absolutely correct!!  Be gone .... yes, Go away .... Get out of here and never come back .... I'm glad that smell has gone too!!  I wonder if they produce wet wipes too??  Possibly a magical toilet brush also.... could that be called   "Shit-be-Gone-with-a-single- swipe"??   Or even a heated toilet seat called   "Be-Happy-and-Warm, While-Your-ShitBeGone".

WILD STORY of ADVENTURE # 3 "Do the Dodge"

I said farewell to Darren and wished him good luck on his personal mission.

I was on another quest and that was to get back to England on a very limited budget.  First I had to double back through the Greek Islands to Athens and catch a ferry to Italy.

Something that is noticed when getting off a Greek ferry at an island is the fact that when disembarking one's ticket doesn't need to be shown.  This got me thinking, as a back-packer does when travelling around.  I wonder if I pay to the next and closest island and stayed on to a further destination, would I be able to get away without paying the full fare?  After a few days on this island I'll put the plan into action on the next ferry.
