# WONKY ENGLISH # ... PU--eee!! Something smells!!!

Is this just normal ... or can this be considered as INCREDIBLY WONKY?

I've heard of Pure Water,  and even Purified Waterwhen I travelled to certain countries I was even advised by my friends not to drink Putrefied Water!!   ;)

Has anyone seen the T.V. series,  Survival Game with Bear Grylls?  This guy goes anywhere he can to have a buzz.  Now there's one special show where he's in Australia and stuck out in the desert somewhere with absolutely nothing to drink!  ( well the camera crews had drinks but they weren't sharing ... )   he pulls out his drink container,  takes a whizz in it and then drinks it!!

I'm happy to say that the drink above isn't actually Poo Water.  Poo is the sound of the character in the Japanese Hiragana and Katakana.

This photo is showing a special kind of WONKY  ENGLISH.  Can anybody -- Japanese people should know what has happened here -- fix this one??  ...  please?

                                   Uuuunch!!

                                                        ... ahh!!  That's better.   ;)

# WONKY ENGLISH # ... not finished business??

I was walking through the popular drinking area of Roppongi when I noticed this sign stuck on the door.  It's a rare sign to see these days.  And rarer still is to see chalk used.  That's what made my antenna stick up.  A closer inspection revealed WONKY  ENGLISH!!  A-ha ... where's my camera!?

Come on  ...  don't be shy ... FIX IT!!  What kind of incentive do you need??   :))

# WILD STORIES of ADVENTURE # "Bargain Travel Myth ... Part 2 -- SPAIN!!

After the Wild Adventure of getting really cheap flights to Athens it was time for the 3 of us to find somewhere to stay.  The "Old City" of Athens is a popular destination for backpackers and travellers alike.  The "Old City" is filled with all kinds of tourists.  Actually the "Old City" is filled with lots of history as well.  It's one of the more preserved areas of Athens and really is nice just to stroll around taking in the many sights like ruins,  restaurants or to do some shopping.  Flower pots and hanging baskets drape the streets as you walk by giving the whole area a look of Greek splendour.  Venture a few blocks from the "Old City" and you would quickly like to hop back to it or do a runner to a gorgeous island somewhere  :))  Unfortunately the rest of the city is just like any other city in the world.

# WILD STORIES of ADVENTURE # ... Switzerland & Apricots

It's hard to imagine apricots to be associated with the beautiful mountainous country of Switzerland isn't it!?

Well ladies and gentlemen,  welcome to another story of Wild Adventures where connections like this happen now and again!!  :))

My friend Fiona and I had just "dun-a-runna" ( run away )  from the campsite we were staying in.  This campsite was just outside the gorgeous town of Courmayeur in the Valle  d'Aosta region of Italy.  We were on our way to Switzerland.  We were getting extremely low on money.  Luckily water is fresh and free in that area.  There are natural springs in abundance,  clear and cold.  Our bottles were filled up all the time.  There were no shops near where we were hitch hiking from and we needed cigarettes badly!!  :))  But we were so low on money that I'm sure we could not afford to buy any.  On our way up the winding road we found an open cellar.  I'm sure they wouldn't notice a couple of bottles missing  :))  Later the champagne went down a treat!!

# WONKY ENGLISH #

It's time for something WONKY!!   It could be me or is it amiss!?  Doesn't it have the same sound!?  Why is my name spelt with the same letter on the sign but has a different sound!?   Is my name WONKY!!

Here you are,  a hint.  In Japan we have Typhoons,  in America they have Tornadoes,  in Australia we have ...??     The answer to that Q has the same pronunciation as the WONKY spelling on that bus sign above  :))

My large apologies to all of you non native speakers ... English sometimes really sucks  huh!!  :))

COME ON ... FIX IT!!   IT'S  WONKY!!
