G'day dudes & dudesses :) Here is a simple dish for you to try. If I can do it then anyone can. In fact this is an original that I created myself so don't be afraid to try it. It's simple, as fresh as the dawn sun in December ( Japan's December that is ) and it tantalises the taste buds.
What you need: 2 Cans of Tomatoes ( chopped or whole, doesn't matter )
Minced Beef ( for yourself or who ever you are cookinng for )
1 whole garlic ( 2 if you really love the stuff )
Olive Oil
1 Bay Leaf
Basil or Oregano ( or both if you want to get the flavour going )
Salt & Pepper ( cracked whole peppers hold more flavour )
Method: Into a fairly large frying pan, pour in a good dollop of olive oil, lightly fry the minced beef. Add the cans of tomatoe, rinse the cans with a little water and add to the pan. ( if you are using whole tomatoes then use a wooden spoon to bash them up a bit, it's good to have the chunks in the final presentation ). Add the garlic minced. Throw in the bay leaf - from a safe distance please :), sprinkle to your liking some Basil and/or Oregano and salt & pepper. At this point the whole lot will look a bit soupy, don't worry, check out what's happening next!!
Crank up the gas and let the lot fry!! Get it bubbling like great glass of champagne for a few minutes or so then turn the gas down a tad to get it bubbling just like a volcano's lava pit :)) After roughly 7 to 8 minutes of bubbling, turn the gas to nice and low and just let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Place a lid on top. Prod and stir it now and then, but don't disturb it too much :)
By this stage it should be ready. Lift up the lid and instantly take a nice big whiff. Hopefully you have sorted out your spagetti and you'll be ready to eat this delcious dish :)) And if you have planned to make this into a romantic evening then dessert is going to taste fantastic too .... wink wink, spank spank !! ; ))
Picture comimg soon .... please enjoy!
